Minds Matter Colorado Announces Brad Reubendale as New Executive Director

DENVER, Colorado, January 13, 2025 — Minds Matter Colorado is thrilled to announce  Brad Reubendale as its new Executive Director. With a proven track record of leading impactful programs and championing under-resourced communities, Brad brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for Minds Matter’s mission of empowering students to achieve their college dreams.

“We are beyond excited to welcome Brad Reubendale as our new Executive Director,” said Anata Walsh, Board Chair. “Brad’s leadership, combined with his extensive experience in nonprofit management, makes him the perfect person to guide us into this next chapter of growth and impact.”

Brad Reubendale has dedicated his career to creating opportunities for marginalized populations. His leadership roles have included serving as CEO of SAME Café, a nonprofit fostering community through healthy food access, and program leadership at Urban Peak, addressing youth homelessness. He has also worked with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) to advocate for children in foster care and has testified at the Colorado Capitol on behalf of foster children and LGBTQ youth.

Brad holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminology from Missouri State University, a Master of Divinity from Denver Seminary, and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Colorado Denver.

Brad lives in Denver with his husband, Michael, and their two cats, Kiki and Phillip.

As Minds Matter Colorado continues to expand its reach and impact, Brad’s leadership marks an exciting new chapter for the organization. “I’m thrilled to join Minds Matter Colorado and work alongside such a dedicated team to create life-changing opportunities for students,” Brad shares. “I look forward to building on MMCO’s incredible legacy and helping our students achieve their fullest potential.”
