This week’s Board Member spotlight shines on Amy, Stefan, and Claire! We’re so thrilled to have them with us and we are excited for the future!

Do you identify as a first-generation college graduate? My father was a 1st gen student. He paid for school through the GI bill. He inspired me to attend college. However, I had to find my way. If I had known what these mentees are learning, I would have been so much better off. My dad didn’t know to teach me.

Bio
Amy Kusek is a Development Leader at the Western Union Foundation, and was previously with Colorado School of Mines Foundation as a senior director of corporate and foundation relation. Amy has nearly 20 years of experience connecting corporations with the non-profit sector. Before entering the sector in 2001, she worked for The Disney Stores, Inc. as the District Training Store Manager and Disney VoluntEARS coordinator.

Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Doane College and a Master of Science degree in Management from Regis University. She formerly served on the Benchmarking Committee for the Network of Academic Corporate Relations Officers (NACRO), the Steering Committee for the Institute for Leaders in Development, Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of Colorado and Board of Directors for Leadership Aurora through the Aurora Chamber of Commerce. She has a Dare to Lead certified. And in Fall 2022, Amy will be pursuing her Certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility through the University of Colorado Boulder’s Leeds School of Business.

In her free time, she volunteers as a summer program lead for Minds Matter Colorado, assisting first generation and low-income students with preparing to attend college. She is the wife to a fellow fundraiser, Mike Jackson, YMCA of Denver, and a stepmom to three amazing young adults.

Bio
Stefan Ramsbott is an experienced technologist, innovator, and company builder with multiple exits. In 2006, he co-founded 303 Software, a strategic web and mobile app development consultancy focused on custom solutions implementation and technology integrations. With a strong history of relationship building and innovation-driven technology creation, Stefan has always trusted in his love for logic and problem solving when identifying opportunities. As an experienced Product leader, Stefan has grown multiple product businesses through the development of important product functionality that wows the customer.

After a successful product venture that grew from zero to revenue and a subsequent acquisition within 4 years, Stefan has focused his career on innovation-focused product development. His most recent experience at Proof included developing the Customer Experience process and growing the team, as well as driving the Product process and strategy as the Chief Product Officer at this high-growth company. While Stefan has been involved in all aspects of building and growing companies, his core expertise and passion is creating product purposefully by working alongside, mentoring, motivating, and inspiring talented teams.

Stefan’s love for Colorado is exhibited through his involvement in several local boards and community organizations. He is also actively engaged in Denver’s startup community through various meetups, committees, and mentorship organizations. Stefan is a husband and father of two girls. He enjoys spending as much time as he can playing music, biking, boarding and climbing in and outside his Colorado home base.

Bio
Claire Williams is an Associate Partner and a core leader in McKinsey’s Public, Social and Education practices. She is passionate about creating accessible and opportunity expanding education to employment pathways that serve all learners. Her work spans the full student journey, preK-12, post-secondary, and education to employment. She serves a range of institution types across the public, private, and social sector – with a focus on innovative partnerships to drive broader system change and impact at scale. Her work expands into the broader social services that are critical foundations for educational attainment – including food and housing security.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Claire taught high school math in Los Angeles Unified School District. She loves living in Denver and adventuring in the mountains with her husband, toddler, and their dog.
