DENVER, Colorado, May 16, 2022 — Minds Matter Colorado, a college access mentoring program, is delighted to announce Kate Brenan as the new Chief Executive Officer of the organization.
Kate’s journey with the organization first began when she served as a volunteer from 2011-2013 leading Monday night programming with the then Minds Matter Denver class of 2014. In her 18 years in education, Kate has successfully scaled educational programs and aims to translate that experience and her commitment to the Minds Matter Colorado model to growing the organization to achieve its vision to serve students corner-to-corner across Colorado.
“Kate is built for scaling proven models in education; she is an incredible leader and we’re lucky to have someone with her passion and credentials take this organization to the next level. I couldn’t be more grateful to have her take the reins, and I’m excited to see Minds Matter grow under her leadership,” said savinay chandrasekhar nathan, the organization’s previous CEO, who will remain on the Board of Directors.
“I’m honored to take on this role and lead Minds Matter Colorado through a period of growth. As we walk alongside incredibly talented high school students on their journey to college, we’re able to bring forth transformative mentoring relationships. I’m excited to work with local leaders across the state as we make this model accessible to students corner-to-corner across Colorado.”
